The photographer Oliver Kirsch, born in Stuttgart, was interested in photography
since he was a child. His first experiments with the camera he did at the age
of 8 years, when he tried to photograph animals in the zoo Wilhelma.
Next to his job Oliver kirsch always found enough time for his hobby and passion
the photography. As passion diver he started with the underwater photography,
where he has got a well known name.
Oliver Kirsch is working as freelancer for several dive magazines. The many publications,
travel stories, reportages and pictures of wrecks (in black and white) in the
magazines "Unterwasser" and "Aquanaut" show his enormous
talent.
Oliver Kirsch won many prices at several photo competitions of dive magazines,
he won the first price in biology at the German championship, at the festival
Mondial de l´Image sous-marine in Antibes/Juan les Pins, France and at
the underwaterphoto competition in Tokyo.
Since 1997 he organizes photo workshops, where he shares his knowledge of more
then 900 dives with interested diver.
Oliver Kirsch works underwater with Seacam housings and Sea&Sea housings
for the Nikon F5 and F90X and with the Nikon RS with all lenses. Oliver Kirsch
uses flashes from Sea&Sea and Nikon.
