In 1970 Norbert found out, that a reflex-camera is a fascinating tool. A long dream became reality 1977, his beginning of scuba diving. In 1980 Norbert get his first underwater camera, a Nikonos IV-A, and UW-Photography turned into passion. Norbert succeeded in several competitions across Europe very quickly. His exciting slide shows and the cooperation with Helmut Debelius/IKAN in Frankfurt levelled his way into professional UW-Photography. First picture publications in diving-, aquarium- and photo magazines came out soon. His first travel story with text and pictures was published 1982, in 1983 the very first cover photo has been printed on ‘TEAM TAUCHEN’ magazine. One year later, he began with the editorial staff of the magazine teamwork. In 1987 Norbert started his cooperating work with Heinz Ritter and Heinz´ magazine ‘UWF’ (Under Water Photography). 1995 ‘UWF’ was renamed to ‘UNTERWASSER’, a monthly diving magazine in highest printing quality. As a permanent contributor, in the position of a reporter-in-chief, Norbert is working for the editorial staff of the ‘UNTERWASSER’ magazine mainly. As photographer and writer he worked out many reports, photo jobs around diving and the ‘wonder-world’ of the Oceans. Together with his UW-Photomodel and partner-in-life Johanna Beloch, a successful team is travelling five month per year around the globe.
