Only eleven years ago it was the first time, when Werner Thiele took his camera, a Nikonos V, into the cold lakes of his home Tyrol. Since this time he took every chance to prove his immense talent behind the camera at international competitions. It did not take a long time until Werner´s successes were recognized by the trade press. Since 1995 Werner is working for different national and international magazines. The time of the "Nikonos" was gone and now the products from the Austrian producer of camera housings, Seacam, are the suitable "accommodation" for Werners Nikon. During this time he won most of the well known competitions or at least was found at the front places. An exact list would go behind the scope of this introduction. About the lakes, where Werner Thiele learned years ago autodidact the art of underwaterphotography, he wrote in 1998 a book "Diving and Snorkelling in Tyrol". The next stop on the road to success was the setting up of "Waterworld", a travel agency, which is specialised in the negotiation of exclusive dive travels. Because of his wife and his little daughter Chiara the "restless" Werner settled now down a little bit.
The last brand-new news we have heard about werner is, that he is the vice world champion in wide lens photography. He won this title during the CMAS competition in Egypt. Werner Thiele was a member of the Austrian national team, to which he belongs since 1995.
